RPG report

well to start off RPG scenarios section i will describe the game, its a D20 turn based RPG called Dawn of Devils. the players can choose their race from one of 17 playable races, they then choose two major skill branches each consisting of tens skills, the branches are combat, physical, mental, and social. there are no set classes. then the player chooses 15 major skills from the four branches with no more than five coming from the chosen minor skill branches and the rest from the two major skill branches. skills include things such as swordsmanship, lockpicking, preforming and elemental magic. the players leveling up by using their major skill and keeping track of uses. the higher the level the more skills are needed to level up and the more usues to level up a skill. More details will be divulged later.



anyway tonight a friend came over and we were playing the RPG I was being dungeon master for him to practice on it. he plays a halfling(aka hobbit) who is passively possessed by a demon. he does superficial magic, whis is magic not having to do with any of the elements(fire water earth air electricity light time nature) things such as messing with peoples minds and emotions, creating illusions, raising dead, and other such things. He has an undead guardian with a shield that reflects all spells that hit it that he uses as a meat shield, he has used an illusion spell to make it look like a big warrior who has suffers some extensive head injuries. anyway he visited a town and was recruited by an elf and a human to help clear out a ruin filled with uruk-hai orcs and goblins. they charge the frong gate of the ruin and are mobbed by about ten assorted baddies. which were quickly killed. he immediately raised them from the dead to have zombie warriors to help fight for him. this continued with most of the rest of the baddies, about sixty total. almost all of which he raised as zombies. he lost some but most of them survived.

forces of evil

so now to tell you about my evil warhammer army. it includes  LOTR uruk-hai, LOTR orcs, LOTR goblins, LOTR easterlings, Warhammer fantasy Lizzardmen, Warhammer fantasy skeletons, Mega Bloks Dragons from the Krystal wars series.

first the LOTR Uruk-hai, my uruk army includes, Saruman the white. 3 uruk captains, 2 uruk banner bearers, 4 uruk beserkers(those units are killing machines, reccomend them for any uruk army), 8 uruk-hai scouts with ruk bow, 8 uruk-hai scouts with sword, 8 uruk-hai scouts with sword and shield, 8 uruk-hai siege engineers, 44 fighting uruk-hai with sword and shield, 36 fighting uruk-hai with pike. for a total of 122 LOTR uruk-hai

next the LOTR Orcs. My orc army includes 1 orc captain, 1 orc banner bearer, 5 orc warriors with bow, 4 with two hand weapons, 8 with hand weapon and shield and 8 with spear, and 4 warg riders. For a total force size of 31 orcs.

Now for the nasty little goblins. The goblin horde includes 1 plastic mines of moria cave troll with hammer, 1 custom plastic moria goblin captain, 2 moria goblin Drummers with war drum. 1 metal moria goblin archer, 24 plastic moria goblin warriors with bow, 18 plastic moria goblin warriors with sword and shield, 25 plastic moria goblin warriors with spear, 1 gundabad blackshield goblin shaman, 1 gundabad blackshield goblin captain, 1 gundabad blackshield goblin drummer, 1 gundabad blackshield goblin drum bearer, 4 gundabad blackshield goblin warriors with sword and shield, 4 gundabad blackshield goblin warriors with spear and shield. for a total force size of 84 goblins and 1 cave troll

And now the fanatic LOTR easterlings. Easterling force includes, 2 easterling captains, 2 easterling banner bearers, 16 easterling warriors with bow, 16 easterling warriors with sword and shield, and 8 easterling warriors with spear/pike and shield. for a total force size of 44

Next up is ths Warhammer fantasy Lizardmen, Lizardmen force includes 1 skink shaman, 1 skink banner bearer, 2 skink musicians, 1 skink captain, 36 skink warriors with assorted weaponry, 29 skink warriors with bow. for a total force size of 70 lizardmen.

next is the Warhammer Fantasy skeletons. Skeleton/ undead force includes; 30 zombies, 26 ghouls, 3 skeleton banner bearers, 4 metal skeleton archers, 2 skeleton musicians, 1 skeleton shaman, 3 skelton captains with sword and shield, 4 skeleton captains with two hand weapon, 43 skeleton warriors with hand weapon and shield, 10 skeleton warriors with bow. for a total force size of 126 undead.

Last but not least is the Mega Blok Dragons. there are 6 flightless pit dragons(vorgan pit beasts), 3 dragon hatchlings( from the sets that come in an egg), 3 older series full size dragons, 1 ancient sea dragon. for a total dragon flight of 13 dragons.

Gondor army

So in my warhammer hordes i also have 131 men of gondor, Numenor and high elves. numbering 104 warriors of minas tirith, 2 faramirs rangers, 1 captain of gondor, 1 gondorian banner bearer 10 numenorian warriors, 8 elves with sword, 3 elves with spear, gandalf the white foot and mounted. I do not have pictures of them sadly. also among the forces of good are aragorn, legolas, gimli, frodo, sam, merry, and pippin from the mines of moria starter set.

Dwarven Army

So first real post, figure i better fill you in on my warhammer models. For the dwarf army I have 153 various LOTR Dwarf models from games workshop

 "green company" 16 dwarf warriors with hand axe and shield, 16 dwarf warriors with two handed axe and shield, 16 dwarf warriors with bow, 4 dwarf captains, 4 dwarf banner bearers. Notice some have custom shields. one of my friends was helping me assemble and lost the shields they came with

 "red Company"  8 dwarf warriors with hand axe and shield, 8 dwarf warriors with two handed axe and shield, 8 dwarf warriors with bow,  3 dwarf captains, 3 dwarf banner bearers

 also "red company" vault wardens, consisting of 4 foe spears and 4 iron shield

 "white Company" Also known as Durin's Children" dwarven runes on all shields are LOTR dwarven, characters "D" "CH". Runes on flag spell "DURINS CHILDREN" all command units have "D" "CH" runes on cloaks as well.  8 dwarf warriors with hand axe and shield, 8 dwarf warriors with two handed axe and shield, 8 dwarf warriors with bow,  2 Dwarf captains, @ dwarf banner bearers

creating a blog

So, my friends have been telling me to make a blog for some time now. As you see I finally gave in and made one. This blog will entail the stories of me and my friends and our adventures with our warhammer models. There will be Battle reports, about me and my friends battles such. Army reports about new models and painting progress. Scenario reports of dealing in the RPG game a friend and i have been working on for almost a year now. And various other warhammer and miniature wargaming related things.
